Your username and password to access our web catalog and eBook portal is your library card number, including the capitol “P”. Note: both your username and password will be the same. The number is found on the back of your library card.
For the safety of all children, any child under the age of 12 must be supervised with a parent at all times while in the library. Children under 18 may not be in the library during school hours unless they are with a parent or guardian. There are no exceptions to this rule.
Books, audiobooks, and periodicals have a $0.20 per-day, per-item late fee. DVDs and Blu-Rays have a $0.25 per-day, per-item late fee. All items have a maximum late fee charge of $5, or the total cost of the item if the item is never returned or damaged.
Books, audiobooks, eBooks, and periodicals may be checked out for 14 days. DVDs or Blu-Rays may be checked out for 7 days.
To obtain a library card, a child needs to be with a parent/guardian who has a valid library card or is getting a card.
Anyone can obtain a library card from birth to 99+ with the proper documents.
If your address is in Phenix City or you live in Russell County, there is no fee for a library card. If you live outside of Phenix City or Russell County, there is a fee of $5. This is paid annually when your card is renewed. This fee is for people living in Lee County, Smiths Station, Columbus, or other surrounding areas.
There is no charge for military or their dependents with a valid government-issued ID card.
In order to obtain a library card, you must bring in a valid photo ID and proof of residency (utility bill, lease agreement, mortgage, etc.).
The cost of a replacement library card is $2.
Yes, the library offers public computers. It is free to use a computer if you have a library card, and it is $1 for a guest pass if you do not have a card or are from out of town. You may use the computer for up to 3 hours per day.
No, the library is not able to notarize documents.
Copies are $0.20 for black and white prints or $0.50 for color prints. Please bring a flash drive to save color prints to.
Yes, the library has a scanner for public use. Please bring a flash drive to save your scanned item to.
Yes, the library has the capability to send faxes for a small fee. The cost is $1 for the first page, and $0.50 for each additional page.
